Connecting with God

God reveals Himself in many ways, one of which, is as Creator God. God made Heaven and Earth and the Bible tells us that we can find God in His creation: “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature” (Romans 1:20). When children spend time outside basking in the Glory of all He has made, they naturally find The One that made it.

Healing

Caring for animals heals the heart of the child. As they learn how to tenderly take care of the animals that look to them for help, they understand the way that Jesus cares for them, loves them, and wants the best for them.

Improving Focus

Now, more than ever, it is important that children spend time outdoors and off of technology. Spending undistracted time outside not only brings joy but also helps to develop better focus and patience.

Emotional Control

Working with animals helps children develop emotional control. Animals, especially horses, are very sensitive to our behavior and emotions. They require that we remain calm and in control emotionally. This teaches children to regulate their emotions and develop self control and healthy expression that will benefit them in every situation.

Leadership Skills

Working with horses helps children to develop leadership skills. The horse will look to the child for leadership and direction. This encourages children to become comfortable and confident in leadership which will not only benefit them in a school or work environment, but will also empower them to stand strong in their values and beliefs in social settings.

Hope

God designed His creation to inspire us. When we spend time outside enjoying all He made, we experience a sense of peace and joy that inspires hope and optimism.
